The Chemistry Department of Boston College is pleased to notify you that we are recommending to the Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences that you be admitted to our Ph.D. program for the Fall 2018.  Congratulations on your excellent credentials for pursuing a graduate degree in chemistry!

You will be receiving an official letter from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, which will be sent to the current address listed on your application  This letter will provide information concerning financial and visa matters.  Graduate students are either teaching assistants or research assistants for which they receive a stipend.  The stipend for the 2018-2019 academic year will be $31,000.  You will also receive tuition remission credits which will cover the cost of your classes as well as medical insurance.

The Department of Chemistry holds an Open House for accepted students living in this country.  It is scheduled for March 23-24, 2018.  If you find you will be traveling in the United States during that time and would like to attend, please contact me.
