Yes, that will be fine. In our department we very rarely admit MPhil students--instead we encourage them to apply for the MA (Literary & Cultural Studies) or for direct entrance to the PhD. I wonder if you have any particular reasons for wanting to do an MPhil, because I might be able to advise you on one of those two other options if they might suit your goals and objectives better.
